We are proud to have been appointed the preferred Asbestos Removal partner for Hughes & Salvage at this iconic London TV and film studios. Approximately 20 miles west of central London, the Pinewood studios has been the base for many productions over the years from large-scale films to television programs, commercials, and pop promos. It is well known as the home of the James Bond and Carry On film franchises. Our scope of works included the removal of thermal insulation & residue to pipework to external canopy to the covered walkway and rear elevation of the powerhouse approx.

155LM, Access was via fixed scaffolding with haki staircase to enable the safe access / egress and removal of thermal insulation to pipework and debris in floor duct within the powerhouse complex approx. 132m2 under fully controlled conditions.

The thermal insulation & debris has been identified to contain Chrysotile/Amosite/Crocidolite. Works were carried out in multiple enclosures with a 4-stage clearance carried out on completion. Direct connection will be used on the covered way and powerhouse rear elevation enclosure.
