The site is a 1900’s hospital including an accident and emergency department, which is due for major refurbishment works. The works required on this project is the safe removal and disposal of AIB ceiling tiles 600 x 600, 10m² circa in total, to 2 x locations in a live hospital.

Inner City Environmental were appointed to perform a thorough environmental clean across all 20 retail units to all flats/storage areas above shops in St Michaels Square, Station Road Croydon. Our scope included the clearance of pigeon/rat contaminated contents within all areas of the shops including all levels, to leave the buildings free of guano contaminated non-fixed items and contents, including biological waste, vermin, needles and sharps, asbestos containing materials were all removed and disposed of in the correct manner.

Chalgrove Airfield is a former World War II aerodrome near Chalgrove, South Oxfordshire. While the Airfield will play an important role in meeting the future needs of South Oxfordshire, it is important to recognize the heritage of the site and its continued use as an aerodrome facility. Development plans reflect this history and include provision for an active runway and for the existing uses to be retained onsite. The site is a live aircraft hanger which is fully occupied with staff. Our scope of works involved the to cutting of 2no. 6” holes at high level through the internal asbestos paper (chrysotile) lined strawboard to the RHS wall of the hanger to install fire rated sleeves to facilitate the installation of new extraction units within the new work shop which is under construction. Access to the hanger was through the main hanger doors. No isolations were required for works to safely proceed. Air monitoring was carried out continuously, and we continued to deliver our operations systematically and safely in line with COVID-19 directives.

Approximately 20 miles west of central London, the Pinewood studios has been the base for many productions over the years from large-scale films to television programs, commercials, and pop promos. It is well known as the home of the James Bond and Carry On film franchises. Our scope of works included the removal of thermal insulation & residue to pipework to external canopy to the covered walkway and rear elevation of the powerhouse approx. 155LM, Access was via fixed scaffolding with haki staircase to enable the safe access / egress and removal of thermal insulation to pipework and debris in floor duct within the powerhouse complex approx. 132m2 under fully controlled conditions. The thermal insulation & debris has been identified to contain Chrysotile/Amosite/Crocidolite. Works were carried out in multiple enclosures with a 4-stage clearance carried out on completion. Direct connection will be used on the covered way and powerhouse rear elevation enclosure.
